We all had a great time and that was very much down to the way you looked after us. It was a memorable few days and the woodcock on top of the mountain will stay with me forever!

I hope you will have us back

Jeremy Gordon, London
“With regard to our stay, actually, very windy conditions did not stop Russell to locate or to stop with his dogs Woodcock as easily as expected… Nevertheless, his hunting organisation and the quality of his dogs are blameless; on 70 Woodcock flushed in 5 days, 25 about were at the stop of the dogs and 21 killed.”
Jean-Marc Triquet, Normandy
“I hope you’re well and have had a good summer and also those wonderful gundogs of yours;
I have enjoyed telling my friends about our time on Lewis- more about you and the dogs than
me and the grouse!

Hope to hear from you soon.”

Peter Billings, Austrailia
Thank you so much for a superb trip to the Isle of Lewis, I so enjoyed the experience.
It was a pleasure to meet you, your enthusiasm and professionalism is infectious, not often I meet people with so much passion for their life.
Making me so welcome, breakfast, dinner made by Jane thank you.
Richard Macnicol
I hope you’re well and that you have had a great hunting season, I suppose your season is over as ours in Sweden. We Mathias, Emil and I really enjoyed our week with you on the Island, with your great gun dogs and your stalkers. I have enjoyed telling my friends about our time on Lewis- more about you, your dogs and your crazy colleagues than me and my stag I shot.
Niklas Elk, Sweden
The grouse hunt on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland was great fun. We shot the limit of 10 grouse in two days. Russell is a first rate guide and his dogs were extraordinarily good.
Nicholas Taylor, Texas, USA

Being back on the mainland I could not find the time yet to thank you for the excellent organization of our trip this year. I assume you are again out with clients and you’re excellent Vizslas?

Moritz Fehrer, Bavaria, 10.11.12

Russell, just a brief note to register my appreciation for the 2 days shooting I had with you recently. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and consider it to have been the most interesting game bird shooting I have ever done.  The setting and the guiding were first class and made for a memorable trip.  I intend to repeat the experience.

Ian Lumsden, Derbyshire, 08.12.12

Just a quick note, to say thank you for looking after my group over the past few days. As ever your guidance and knowledge was second to none and the whole experience was fabulous. For many Guns this was a first and opened their eyes to the opportunity of Grouse over Vizslas.

Nigel Williams, 19.10.17

Hello Russell

Thank you for the greetings, the same to you and your family. Still we remember our visit and especially the day we spent with you in the hills, at home with the dogs and at the pub. We are very thankful to have had the pleasure of meeting you and share a fantastic day. I have never had a better Guinness!

All the best
